Visits will be 20 minutes in length and have intervals between each visit that will be 5 minutes long

Inmates will be allowed 2 on-site visits per week not to exceed 1 visit/day

At-home visits will cost $20 for Family and Friends $10 for attorneys

At  home visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance

Approval for visits will be made by Wood County Detention Center Staff

Inmate Trust Fund/Commissary
All inmates, once they have been booked into custody, will have an account opened in their name. Any money on them at the time of arrest will be entered into this account.

The money will be added to their account. NO CASH or MONEY ORDERS will be accepted by jail staff. Once money is added to an account, it cannot be removed unless the inmate is released from our facility, has medical charges or commissary purchases. Commissary orders are posted in the computer on Wednesday morning. Money orders will need to be in by midnight Tuesday for it to be available for ordering. NO items will be accepted in through the jail window unless it has been pre-approved and these items are not available from the inmate commissary vendor.

Books / Magazines / Newspapers
If you want to send books to an inmate from or other similar stores, they will ONLY be accepted with the understanding that when received they will be placed in the library in the same area of the inmate they are intended for, and that they become property of the Wood County Jail for all inmates to have access to. If you do not wish to have the books donated to the jail facility, DO NOT send them in.
Magazines, newspapers and other paperback type books are allowed ONLY if they have a subscription to them and they are received directly from the publishing source. Examples are local newspapers, TV Guide and non-sexually explicit magazines.
Inmate Phone Service
Securus has been our inmate phone provider for the past 10 + years and is constantly looking at different ways to enhance and improve the way families and friends can stay in touch with inmates in our jail.

To accept calls from our facility you must be able to accept collect calls at the phone the call is being made to.
